I remember working with a healing client who was very clear about what she wanted to heal. “I want more money.” But whenever a client tells me that, I never stop there. That doesn’t give me a clear intention for the healing. I ask questions. I dig a little. What would having more money actually change for you? What would it allow you to do? What would be different in your life? She didn’t want to feel dependent on what her husband earned or limited by how much of his income she could spend. She wanted the freedom to attend as many spiritual workshops as she liked, travel abroad whenever she wanted to, and help her children travel, too. So it wasn’t really about having more money. It was about independence. Freedom. Choice. And the ability to create more of the experiences she wanted in her life. That distinction matters enormously in a healing session. Because “I want more money” is broad and unfocused. (Practically everyone I know would love to have more money. Wouldn’t you?) Instead of using a healing session to look backward—rehashing everything that led to the financial situation she’s in now—the client can focus on the new financial reality she actually wants to create. Because ultimately, that’s what healing is: moving into a new state of reality that’s better than the one you’re experiencing now. So, whenever a client says she wants to heal her financial situation, I know it’s never about the money. There’s always more to the story. Of course the energy work matters. But without a clear intention, the healing has no specific direction. And this is where listening becomes so important. In Lemuria, we learned to listen with the heart. When you listen mainly with your mind, it wants to analyze what the other person is saying. It starts looking for answers. It begins formulating a response before the person has finished speaking. Listening with your heart is different. With your heart, you listen with compassion, understanding and acceptance. And when you listen that way, you often hear what’s underneath the words. If someone tells me they have chronic neck pain, one of the first questions I may ask is: “Who in your life is a real pain in the neck?” After nearly 30 years of doing healing work, I’ve come to understand that physical conditions are always the result of unresolved patterns of negative thought, limiting beliefs and negative emotions. The physical manifestation is the end of a much longer energetic story. So I listen for clues. I listen for symbolism and metaphors. What’s really going on here? What does this person really want to heal? And what would their life look and feel like if that healing had already happened? That key conversation gives the healing its direction. In my Lemurian Healing practitioner training, we spend time learning (and practicing) how to work with clients before, during and after a healing session, not simply how to do the energy work. Because learning to heal the Lemurian way means learning to do everything from the heart. Listening with the heart. Speaking from the heart. Healing from the heart. And that changes the entire experience. In love and light, |

When I first learned energy healing, I thought I understood what it was. It was about improving or getting rid of issues in the physical body. I worked with people who had chronic illnesses, people going through chemotherapy and radiation, people recovering from surgery, people who had been seriously injured in car crashes, and people dealing with everyday aches and pains. That was the world of healing as I knew it. Then my understanding began to change... I remember working with a patient in...
If you’re on a spiritual path (and I know that you are), can you relate to this? 👉 You love any opportunity to learn more about who you are. Of course you do. So do I. We love learning about our past lives, our spirit guides, the agreements we’ve made with other souls, and the deeper connections we share with certain people in this lifetime. There’s so much to discover about yourself beyond what meets the eye. Years ago, I learned something that completely fascinated me: Each of us is born...
I still remember the first time I discovered energy healing. It was the first day of my first Healing Touch workshop, and we were learning how to sense subtle energy with our hands. And I could feel it. I could actually feel invisible energy with my hands. It was mind blowing. What amazed me almost as much was that everyone else in the room could feel it too. People of different ages, backgrounds, religions, cultures, and life experiences were all discovering that they could sense and work...
